Wow. The moment I saw this I was like `Whoever drew this, must be an expert!` (which I`m sure it`s true). I always loved horses and ponies, but that has nothing to do with why I love this. Trust me. So, the vision - it`s simple, yet wonderful. I absolutely loved the way the horse was looking at me and just like saying `Hey!`. The mane doesn`t really seem to fit in too well with the head and neck, but it`s ok. Of course, I must say that the background really made the animal stand out, even though its nothing more than a blured image! The originality - well... yes, I must be honest with you and say that this isn`t the first time I ever saw one of these kind of pictures. Loads of artists preffer to choose this `position` for the animal, but that`s not really something to be used against your work. The colours were also quite common, but then again, it still looks brilliant. Your technique - Ok, I might need a lot of room to write all of this down. Anyway, I`ll just get to the point. The shading seems very realistic and professional, however, in my opinion, you coloured the ears a little bit too dark. The small white hairs on its mouth are so precise and life-like, that at first I could even think it was a photo, not a painting! But the only thing that I can say is that the eyes look too... plain. They seem to not belong to the picture because they lack shading and colour. I could say the same for the mane too (except for the fact that it doesn`t really need more colour). You see, because the head and neck are nicely shaded and slightly blured, the mane just seems to stand out a bit too much. But in the rest, great job! The impact - As I said at the beginning, as soon as I saw this, I was completely amazed and wowed. I don`t know how many art classes you took, but you sure are brilliant.
Alright. That`d be all. Hope you don`t mind me saying what I just said. But let`s just remember that this is a critique after all... right? Anyway, keep it up!
Well I must say first, this is a splendid picture of a horse you have drawn. The mane is skillfully drawn with its wispy form that there may be a slight breeze. The shading is very good, along with the detail especially the tiny hairs on the lips. Horses are quite hart to capture in a good drawing, and you have done it well in the pose of the head and bone structure. The background is a bit plain, but I would say that it makes you focus on the horse calm looking nature. Over all it is a great digital drawing you should be very proud of.
